To be eligible for the PfMP certification, candidates must possess a combination of education and experience in portfolio management:

• A minimum of 8 years of professional business experience
• A minimum of 4 years of portfolio management experience
• A secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree, or global equivalent)
• 10,500 hours of portfolio management experience, OR
• A four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or global equivalent)
• 6,000 hours of portfolio management experience
